We took 37 battered women from different background in a big bus, for a trip to Jericho. We have organized a biblical sight tour with a professional guide to see Qumran and other places while the children are having a programme alone with Mr. OK who is an expert with children. The purpose of separating the mother from their children is to give their mothers a space to enjoy more the trip.
During the trip the women were exposed to the Word of God through hearing two stories from the Bible that occurred in Jericho. The first story is about the blind man who was healed by Jesus, and the second story is about Zak the tax collector who was not loved by people and how Jesus came to stay with him at his house. They heard about Jesus love and acceptance. Then they ate at a popular restaurant, and were given time to shop in a market. The women enjoyed the day very much. For some this was the first time they visit Jericho.
